How Long Will My Cabinet Refinishing Project Take?

An average sized kitchen will take around 7-10 weekdays to complete, depending on size, condition of cabinets, and availability.

However, we will only work onsite in your home for 2-3 days as we remove the doors & drawers fronts and refinish them at our workshop.

You will still have full access to your kitchen after the doors and drawer fronts have been removed, until we return to refinish the frames. At this time we will put plastic up around the kitchen with a zipper door for easy entry when needed.

Do you use brushes or rollers?

Absolutely Not & we highly advise you do not let anyone brush/roll your cabinets or cabinet frames!!!

We use top of the line HVLP Turbine Sprayers which create the Finest Finish Possible. They are designed to ensure your cabinets have a smooth, better than factory finish with no brush marks or "orange peel".

We always put plastic walls up around the spray areas, use dust extractors, & always clean up thoroughly upon completion.

I am having new floors/countertops/backsplash put in. Should I complete these projects before or after cabinet refinishing?

Either way is fine for us! We will completely mask off the areas around the cabinets including the walls, floors, countertops/backsplash, and appliances before painting.

We can work before or after you have other projects completed in the kitchen, but not during. Please schedule accordingly.

What kind of paint do you use?

Rather than using outdated 1-coat materials that emit dangerous odors, become brittle over time, & are even illegal to spray in several states, We use Waterborne Lacquers that are the latest in finishing technology.

Multiple Coats: Everything will be sprayed with a Primer & Color Coatings that are KCMA & Greenguard Certified, low VOC & virtually odorless so no need to leave the house!

These coatings combined with thorough cleaning, sanding & fine sanding between coats ensures a smooth, strong finish.

What Do I need to Do To Prepare?

On your start date we can remove the doors and drawer fronts with your items still inside but we require that everything be removed from inside the cabinets & drawers before we return to work on the frames.

Now for the fun part-Choosing your colors! You can choose any color from any paint supplier & give us the name/color code on your start date. Color Consultation available upon request.

If hardware is being replaced we will need to know if the existing knobs/handle holes will need to be filled.

Can you Replace My Hardware?

Yes, We can fill & drill new holes to accommodate new handles/knobs for an additional charge depending on how many & the sizes.

New hardware install that requires no filling/drilling new holes is free of charge.

Hardware install is completed at the end of the project after the doors/drawers are reinstalled.

Do you install or replace cabinet trim?

We do not offer trim installation, but we can paint any additions you may have.

My cabinets are laminate/MDF/particle board. Can they still be refinished?

Yes! Our materials will adhere to any surface & can even repair swelling/water damaged MDF. Our coatings will also prevent such damage from reoccuring. See More Here
